The colored dots shown here represent the locations of the Elemental Orbs of D'Tanile, housed by their respective Elemental Altars:

Altar of Forests, Orb of Earth
Altar of Oceans, Orb of Water
Altar of Plains, Orb of Wind
Altar of Desert, Orb of Fire
No one is quite sure where these Orbs came from or exactly what they do, though they do seem to be the source of power of some of the world's magic (see Magic of D'Tanile.) It is also said that the Orbs have something to do with maintaining the planet's environment. Each Orb is protected by one of the Deified, except for the Orb of Wind, which seems to have lost its power centuries ago and is now considered dead, along with its Deified guardian.
